A powerful WooCommerce site for a leader in natural remedies.
Thayers, a popular beauty and wellness brand acquired by L’Oréal and sold in major retailers like Whole Foods and Target, needed to modernize their website and improve their e-commerce system. They enlisted CXR Agency help in rebuilding the website to look good and function efficiently.
The CXR Agency team worked for four months to redesign the site’s user experience and interface so the site was modernized, integrated WooCommerce to add e-commerce capabilities to the site, improved the functionality and design of existing pages and made it possible for the Thayers team to streamline their shipping process using a FedEx integration.
The CXR.AGENCY team started with their discovery phase. We reviewed the site’s UI and UX, and its pre-existing code in order to develop a plan of action. We recognized 4 main concerns:
Our design team immediately set on meeting the company’s aesthetic goals while also diving into the site’s user experience. We developed the complete user experience for a customer’s purchase process to ensure its efficiency. In doing so, we also made it possible for the Thayers team to easily add product and update any product’s info on their own.
In addition to the changes we made to existing features on the site, we redesigned its blog while also making it editable, included an Instagram feature used to feature the brand’s social posts, and added important brand pages like its company history and glossary.
One of Thayers’ most pressing issues was a lack of a proper shipping process. We worked closely with FedEx to provide a FedEx integration within the Thayers site, making it possible to create an automatic system for generating shipping labels according to product and shipping box sizes.
Despite being a product site, the Thayer’s website wasn’t well equipped to properly handle customer orders. Although we had fixed the customer’s user experience while on the site, we needed a solution to improve the site’s e-commerce capabilities.
For this reason, we kept the site on WordPress, integrated a WooCommerce plugin and secured the site’s payment processing capability.
The website was successfully redesigned to have a modern aesthetic and speak to multiple audiences, and the changes made to the purchasing experience proved to be successful. The website has stood the test of time and is still producing steady income for the company.
