Design and develop logistics application for Big A Solutions
THE BACKGROUND
Big A Solutions, a waste management and contracting service for film and television crews, asked CXR.Agency to create a custom logistics app that streamlines waste management scheduling. Although the Big A team had a foundation for the application, they needed our help in refining it and bringing it to life.

  • Develop an alternative to unreliable and difficult-to-track text messaging
  • Account for every step in the chain, from production manager to driver
  • Create an intuitive flow that makes the process as easy as possible for their customers
  • Iterate and uncover the true potential for their ideas, from the general direction they wanted to take the project
SOLUTION
  • THE PRODUCT MANAGER

    Responsible for setting up the main production location and providing information to the production assistant, the product manager maintains and observes the status of pickups. They add users, such as the production assistants, who can schedule pickups.
  • THE DRIVER

    When a pickup is scheduled, the driver receives a notification on their phone. They can access the pickup location on a map and all the information provided by the production assistant. Once their scheduled pickup is completed, the driver uses the app to mark it as fulfilled.
  • THE PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

    The production assistant schedules pickups, adds any necessary notes and pictures to aid in the driver’s pickup process and sends any information given by the product manager to the driver.
  • BIG A MANAGEMENT

    Once in the app, management can see the status of all completed or pending pickups. They have access to a dashboard, which monitors metrics such as the number of pickups, active production sites, and so on (based on the mockups). Management is also given the option to export data in a CSV file to use for further reporting.
Results
We were able to bring Big A Solution’s idea to life by offering them the perfect solution for their problem. The company’s CEOs, the Dauro’s brothers, were thrilled at their customers’ response to the app, saying they’ve “never seen anything like it, service-wise. Customers loved the look and simplicity of it, which is exactly what we wanted – a simple and effective platform.”
