Crafting a simple yet powerful solution for SlingshotVR.
THE BACKGROUND
CXR Agency worked with SlingshotVR to create an on-demand VR video platform, from concept to deployment and support. Anthony and Cody, founders of SlingshotVR came to us with the idea for an easy white-labelable solution; designed for the contents created at Slingshot.
Immediately, CXR Agency got to work on isolating the best technical and experiential approaches for their needs.

- Create a simple and sensible experience that worked intuitively in a VR environment.
- Extrapolate existing branding language to a mobile VR app experience.
- Craft rich, yet lightweight, environment that captured the Slingshot brand.
The Solution
After isolating and better defining our requirements, CXR Agency’s and the Slingshot team conducted extensive brainstorming and white boarding sessions to better distill our hi-level goals to a defined requirement.
Simultaneously working through our technical and experimental needs, CXR Agency’s design and engineering teams went to work – crafting our wireframes and prototypes.
In the meantime, we qualified the most effective technical architecture for the delivery of hi-quality stereoscopic VR video content through livestreams as well as libraries manageable through a simple web tool.
Upon completing discovery, wireframing and prototyping, we began to realize our highly defined requirements through Design and Development Sprints that engaged the SlingshotVR team on a daily basis and reached a beta release in 12 weeks of development.
Result
We continue to support and work closely with SlingshotVR today, supporting their proprietary VR software products and collaboration on the creation of 3D animations and assets.
